CO Detector Question - Life Expectancy?

Quick question, not related to the plugin.

I just purchased several CO detectors and they just arrived. They have a date on the side that they should be replaced by 2/2020 (2 years from now).

Does that sound normal or was I shipped old detectors?

I know smoke detectors have a 10 year expiration. I just did a quick google search and everything I find says 5-7 years for CO detectors.

Both of mine had a 7 year from manufacture expiration and they were about 3-4 months from manufacture when I received them.

Yup, you should be getting pretty close to 7 years out of them.
