Guys, neighbor just gave me an older Kinect without a power supply. What are the specs on this so I can purchase one?

You need a specific Kinect power supply. It plugs inline with the cable. Try eBay.

Have you purchased any of these? Should I avoid the cheap China knock offs?

Honestly I have absolutely no experience.
But the second one listed is $2 with $3.58 shipping and it looks like its an official one. For $6 I don't think you can really go too wrong. I can't imagine that the cheaper ones won't work. They might not last as long.Originally posted by rpradeThere is no rhyme or reason to the anarchy a defective Z-Wave device can cause

I bought a bunch at Gamestop with no PS - So I purchased mine on Amazon :
This one was solid and felt similar to the original Kinect PS : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
$8 with Prime Shipping .... Could go cheaper - I tried 2 that were $5 and they work, but they feel cheap (wires / etc.)
