    Faking a warning, alarm.

    Hi Spud.

I have some complex scripts for value 1 (warnings) and 2 (emergencies) on my six NEST protects. I need to test the event, is it possible to fake the values in HomeSeer?

Do you know how I can simulate a warning or emergency on one of them through the HS3. The only other way I can think is using canned smoke for testing..

I know they self check, but this is about commissioning my events and script as part of my uni project. Is it possible anyway to fake a value?

    Thanks
    Chris

well, I don't see an easy way to do that except using scripting to manually set the value of the device.

One other solution could be to use the "Nest Home Simulator" which let you create fake thermostats and protects. I don't remember, but you may need a developer account to use it.
