Go to the the form mentioned in the sticky to get the beta link, then link to that. If it doesn't look like my picture below then it isn't going to work.
.
At any rate, I have used the link you suggest and it still does not work.HomeSeer Version: HS3 Pro Edition
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
Processor Type and Speed: i7 - 3.26 GHz
Total Physical Memory: 16Gig
Plugins: BlBackup | EasyTrigger | FitbitSeer | HSTouchServer | Insteon | WeatherXML

JSON needs to be enabled, it should be on by default. May I ask why you turned it off?

Still doesn't work. I never see anything in the log when I scan for devices.
Amazon shows the link, but there is nothing on the HS side to indicate that they two are ever talking to one another.
I've put all of my related settings here. Please let me know if I missed something.

This is were you are looking for instructions?
http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=180033
Honestly I don't remember what I did when the Echo beta HS link first came out, but I'm thinking you may also need to do step 4 for the beta ?? It's not clear on the page whether the first link is the only thing you do, or both?
When you discover devices now, none are found, correct?

I see, the instructions did still post the old V1 link, that is confusing, I updated the instructions to clear it up.

If the sticky is wrong, that would be a good place to start in helping all of us. I have read that freaking page over 20 times. There is a link at the top... then there is a very specific link written at the bottom that says it is for the version I am running.
At any rate, I have used the link you suggest and it still does not work.

Thank you Rich, it was JSON. Not sure why it was off. But it was the key.
All is well with the world now.HomeSeer Version: HS3 Pro Edition

Only one link, and when you start the discovery process, just check your HS3 log and you should see a message about the discovery being started. If you don't see that, it means your system is not linked properly, or you have JSON disabled or remote access disabled in the HS3 setup. Make sure you can access your system remotely from myhs.homeseer.com.

Now, here is where the missing piece of the puzzle was:
The page in the forums, just recently updated on 4/15/2016, has instructions on getting this to work right here:
http://forums.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=180033
These are the instructions I had followed. The result of that was a successful integration with HomeSeer, as verified by the separate web page with a confirmation message. After that, HomeSeer V2 showed up under "SmartHome" section of Alexa settings. But, as you know, none of my devices were discovered. Re-read that page many times. Disconnected Alexa from HomeSeer and added again and again. Still nothing.
Ten minutes ago, I decided to ignore that forum page. Disconnected Alexa from HomeSeer and followed the link that initially did not work for me:
http://homeseer.com/echo-access.html
Entered my email address and was immediately presented with a custom link to copy and follow. Using THAT custom-generated link has lead to the prompt to login with my HS account, just as before, and to the successfull linkage confirmation page. Just as before. However, now in Alexa's settings, under SmartHome, there was a "different" HomeSeer: not V1 or V2, but plain HomeSeer, with a gibberish alphanumeric code below. This time, when I asked my Echo Dot to discover devices, it worked immediately.

Same Problems
I too am experiencing this error. I had Alexa working fine Friday, today she can't find any devices except my HUE devices. It appears this version of the API is not functioning at all. I disconnected Alexa from Homeseer, disapbled the skill, and then following the link to reestablish connectivity using
https://pitangui.amazon.com/api/skil...ge=development
Homeseer shows up in Alexa Smart Home as linked. Reran discovery and all that is discovered are my HUE devices.
Is this a beta version? Is there a stable version? I don't mind testing beta, but I'd like to know when I am.
Thanks,

Make sure you are using build 3.0.0.288 or later of HS3.
