Tasker, to a person who does Homeautomation...is like walking up to a Crack Treatment facility with a truck full of 3lb bags of crack. Then for each person that walks in and out smack them in the face with an open bag.

I have been really torn about this device.

90% of my first floor is sealed travertine marble... with some area rugs.

I am concerned that the scooba would only get 2 rooms done before needing a charge again.

I am also curious how it would handle the rugs. Would I need to set-up the invisible walls, or would the sensor pick them up?

Does anyone know if a version is in the works that will return to the charging dock like the Roomba?

      Thanks,
      Dave

Cheaper here and there is even one with a docking station.

have one - probably worth 199.00, but not a penny more. They are not self starting/self stopping. You must add the precise amount of specific floor cleaner, and den, add water, and den, let it run (slowly - it will last about an hour), and den, wait for the noise to stop, and den, rinse out the clean and dirty water bins, and den, remove the brushes and dissasemble the brush assembly, and den, put it all back together and find a home for the scooba until next time (the preceding sentence is a reference to the movie "Dude, where's my car and also intended to demonstrate the tedious act of just setting up the robot - the run on). I could have mopped the floor by the time I set the thing up - at least the first few times. I have now gotten into the pattern making the floor mopping vacuum worth the 199$.

I hope so, the kitchen floor is probably the wifes biggest pet peaves. I hope this will help. At least we can come home to a clean floor.

I recall ... I think Rupp stating that he uses a vinegar/water mixture, as it works better then the clorox liquid...

                Rupp Comments?
