OK now I am confused. The debug shows your homeseer IP is different from the one in the sketch. Has it changed?
Download the sketch from the config page again and see if it updates the IP in the sketch.

Sorry Greig, and thanks for your interest,
In my system there are two LANlan) ip 192.168.50.129 and (lan 2) ip 192.250.50.103 but however the new sketch that I downloaded from plugin v.131 and uploaded on arduino doesn't work with my system. It would be necessary to modify the file ino like old version but now is not possible for me. what I can do is to come back to plugin 84 if you send me it. Where can I found the old version plungin (V1.0.0.84) to upload in homeseer and I'll use it with old sketch v84 that I have yet. Thanks

I can see no difference in how the plugin uses the network card. Have you changed the IP in the sketch and checked if that works.

I did loose some of the old versions when I had a problem with my server a while backs so I am not sure I have a backup of .84. Have you looked in your updates folder to see if there is a backup in there?

        All available versions are Here

          Hello Greig
I send you the now file sketch 127 downloaded whith plugin vV1.0.0.131. and the older 84 and the screenshot of the devices and file arduino debug . Before to upgrade the plugin (V1.0.0.131) was all ok; now if the output pins are ok and the devices work well but the input pins don't work. My pc where there is homeseer has this configuration: Ip 192.168.50.129 subnet mask 255.255.255.0, gatway 192.168.50.1. , the arduino board is 192.168.50.150

            Disconnected after upgrade

            Hi Greig!

I updated to latest version a while ago and had problems right away but not time to dig into it.

Now I have spent several hours today confirming all upgrade steps taken and versions of code etc. I find no mismatch but I'm not able to connect to the board via the plugin.

Started debug logging and clicked on Connect. Below is the resulting output in the debug file. To me it looks like the plugin consider the board to be connected but it stills says "Disconnected" in the GUI - very confusing.

Can you post the file as the board has changed some of the content that might be the problem. I would also recommend upgrading to the latest beta and move the board to an ethernet connection as I think you are the only person I know with it running usb.

how do I move/convert into ethernet? Can I still use my existing boards and just add something to it?

Updated to beta with new problem

                  Greig,
                  when trying to upload the new ino file I get a compile error;

Seems like SoftPWM.h is missing in the new distribution...?

ok there is something strange going on in the serial data as the "Connected" is showing as "Conneced" in the debug so the plugin in not seeing the "T" and it needs the full word to run the connect routiene.

To move to Ethernet you just need the Ethernet shield added to the board like this one https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoEthernetShieldV1.

                        What boards do you have?

If you use the latest beta you can also use the small wifi based NodeMCU boards like this.

I have two boards "Arduino Uno R3". I have also recently bought one NodeMCU board with the intention to get it working with your plugin. The Ethernet shield for Arduino Uno is more expensive than the NodeMCU board so I suppose i go that route - at least if you intend to drop support for USB?

Regarding the missing file(s?) - I did allow the install of version 1.8.1 to delete old files in the Arduino library. Was that a mistake, shouldn't all files (except for the ino) be included in the 1.8.1 package?

If you have all you connections in one location I would recommend getting a mega and a Ethernet shield as when you put the shield on to the Uno you run out of pins fast and the mega is the best option for this but if you are happy to go with multiple NodeMCU boards then I guess this would be better to dot around in various locations.

I did loose some of the old versions when I had a problem with my server a while backs so I am not sure I have a backup of .84. Have you looked in your updates folder to see if there is a backup in there?

                                Hello Greig,
Finally I managed to fix my problem with the connection of the arduino board. I came back to the plugin v 1.0.0.85 with the Sketch Version V1.0.0.84 but I believe that the issue was given from firewall. Also with old plugin there were issues of connection that have been resolved when I disactivated the firewall. Now is all ok but It would be interesting if someone (like FredrikKan) who installed the plugin v 1.0.0.131 could fix the connection problem by disabling the firewall. After a month of testing I can not change anything after restoring to the old plugin v.1.0.0.85
                                Thanks
