    PI-SonosController Fails to Install

Any idea what's happening here? After failure, I've deleted all the files as there's no uninstall available due to the error, but it always fails to install.

Error, Creating plugin instance: HSPI_Sonos.exe->Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.->Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {E2085F28-FEB7-404A-B8E7-E659BDEAAA02} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80070422 The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070422).

Reason is that window server doesn't have SSDP & UPNP services turned on by default. In fact in Win server 2008, I seem to recall it wasn't even part of it but was part of 2012 but not turned on. So if you turn those on manually, it should work in server 2012.

      However ......

The version in the beta section designed out the reliance of the windows SSDP/UPNP components so it would run under Linux and in your case on Windows server . It is the only version supported going forward so stick with that as it has more fixes and proper support for the more recent released Sonos players.
