What is the best way to capture Images from a 4 port capture card on an event trigger

Hi Guys,

Long story short i have been trying to get my camera system to work to no avail.

I have a DVR that i cannot seem to grab images from so i am going to wire a 4 port PC caputre card in my homeseer box for the purpose of just grabbing still images on event triggers such as door bell press etc in parralel to the DVR allowig it to do the video recording part.

Any suggestions around what to use for the caputre card and how do i get it in homeseer?
