Is it possible to change the default Title and Artist for Homeseer announcements? If so, how?

I assume you use the "speak to file" method. You can't change the title and artist unfortunately. May I ask, what you are trying to accomplish?Originally posted by jbbtex View Post

When Homeseer makes an announcement the device for the track title is change to "Homeseer Announcement" and the artist is "Dirk Corsus."
I'd like to be able to change the title to something shorter and change the artist to the name my kids have given our HA computer.

After you restart HS and the new Plugin, open the hspi_sonoscontroller.ini file and locate under [Options], the three lines:
AnnouncementTitle=
AnnouncementAuthor=
AnnouncementAlbum=
and change it in whatever you want.
You either restart HS to have it take effect or go to the Sonos config page and just click on the "Save" button.
