I'm using owntracks on ios that produces mqtt, to a mosquito server (open source)

and my own mqtt hs2 plugin....early days but they are all taking.

I've been using this config for months, the beacon is the only new piece and should improve the accuracy of the overall system.

This does look good. It says home automation but seems like its only Hue lights, Wemo? This is what we were thinking the pibeacon could do for HS(if we had a plugin ). BLE has so much potential.

This seems like a good option. I hadn't heard Mosquitto but am reading about it now. So your plan is to use radbeacon(ibeacon) with mqttt then to HS?

yes......I have a bunch of small microcontrollers (openpicus) with custom firmware and hardware working for quite sometime with mosquitto / HS2.

owntracks was easy to add.

so the only 'new' piece is radbeacon owntracks aleady see's it...

I do need to update plugin for becon messages and some time to really test out the accuracy.
