Jon00 Audio Control for Homeseer 3

This unmanaged plugin allows you to monitor and adjust playback and record volume settings on any number of Vista/Windows 7/8/10/2008 PC's on your network. This is achieved using the excellent freeware SoundVolumeView application by NirSoft included in the package.

The package has the following features:

» Automatic detection of all sound devices and creation of virtual devices.
» Ability to Mute, Unmute, Toggle Mute, Apply last volume and directly set the volume for each device.
» Display (optional) graphic slider to display the current volume.


It will NOT work on XP or lower.

Jon very nice utility and works great for me on Win 7 using HS3.0.0.97 but I do not get the speaker, slider, or knob graphics on the device page.

The images are in the correct folder per your instructions but the properties of the images all end in ?val=1 and the reason why no show.

Did I miss something?

Right, you will need to update to one of the later betas. They are very stable if you are concerned.

This is due to the anti-caching of images option put in place by Rich to speed up page loads after 97.

Ok, thanks for the info. I am a bit concerned about beta's but I may give it a shot on another PC this week to see how it goes.

Just make a copy of the entire HS3 directory and then update. If it does not work out, delete the Homeseer 3 directory and then copy back as before.

Sounds like another Internationalisation dot/comma bug. I'll put it on the list.

Rec volume for Speaktofile

Hi Jon,

Would this be suitable to set the record volume when using Speaktofile in a script?
I feel the sound produced with speaktofile is garbled, as if the rec volume was to high...

I think you will find that SpeakToFile is achieved via software and not routed via a sound card.

Thanks Jon, I guess it will be difficult to have any "software" setup, since the Speaktofile has no argument for rec vol.

no Graphics

i have installed the audio Control and it works great but i have no sliders or speaker graphics as the picture above. the link to the bata version is not working the version of HS3 3.0.0.297 any help will be greatly appreciated

Did you install the images that were contained in the download zip? Ensure you have them in the correct sub directory as detailed in the docs.
