Announcing version 3.0.0.54 Beta of the ISY Insteon Plug-in for HomeSeer 3.0.
Starting with release 3.0.0.43, the ISY Insteon Plug-in beta is now available via the starndard HomeSeer update process. This should simplify the update process and make getting the latest version more automatic. The normal HomeSeer update process will now notify you when an update is available. One step closer to a production/gold release. I'll keep the 3.0.0.42 version attached here for a while, along with the instructions to roll back to it should there be problem with this new process.
Updating the plug-in on Linux has a known issue where the plug-in will fail to automatically restart following the update. Toggling the plug-in to stop and then restart it manually will properly restart the plugin.
The ISY Insteon Plug-in will show up under the Beta section of the plug-in list.
This version is set to expire on May 20th, 2018

<li>Convert SQLite based config database to a file based system to remove dependnecy on SQLite. The SQLite DLL's distributed with the package don't work on Linux. They also may be the cause of some of the failures after updating. A future version will remove the SQLite dependencies completly.
<li>A couple of REST communication changes to improve ISY communication on Linux based systems.
<li>Stop trying to auto-detect an ISY when no host/ip address has been configured (I.E on first time install). This was just delaying the startup sequence and amaking initial installation problematic. The ISY hasn't supported this capability in a long time anyway.
<li>Make the function list in the debug/logging configuration screen hidden when tracing is not selected. This makes the configuration screen a lot cleaner looking under normal use.
<li>Report battery level events when status messages are enabled.

- Convert SQLite based config database to a file based system to remove dependnecy on SQLite. The SQLite DLL's distributed with the package don't work on Linux. They also may be the cause of some of the failures after updating. A future version will remove the SQLite dependencies completly.
- A couple of REST communication changes to improve ISY communication on Linux based systems.
- Stop trying to auto-detect an ISY when no host/ip address has been configured (I.E on first time install). This was just delaying the startup sequence and amaking initial installation problematic. The ISY hasn't supported this capability in a long time anyway.
- Make the function list in the debug/logging configuration screen hidden when tracing is not selected. This makes the configuration screen a lot cleaner looking under normal use.
- Report battery level events when status messages are enabled.

- Fix a bug where the plug-in would crash when it tried to create scene/member associations for scenes that were hidden from HomeSeer.
- Add ability to configure what controls are available for some devices.
- When using the device filter configuration screen to hide devices from HomeSeer, the HomeSeer records are deleted by the plug-in so they don't don't need to be deleted manually after setting the device hidden.
- Add some text description of what hidding/locking devices actually does.
