My garage closed--- but virtual device should have prevented it

Hi, I created a virtual device called Door Close Cancel. When the device is set to on, it should prevent our garage doors from closing- yet it didn't... I can't figure what I am missing??

Try adding the AND IF to both triggers.

Or put the cancel flag first so it exits before seeing the rest of the events.

I did this for a GDO open TTS dialog in case I was working in the garage with the door open.

In your first IF statement you also have to include your AND.

If Door has been open for ...
        And if device is off

Or if Door2 has been open for ...
        And if device is off

        Then ...

          Thanks Everyone!

Michael, I didn't realize you had to have the "And" on both...

          All were good suggestions.

RPrade has done some excellent write ups on events.
