Embedded you tube videos not working

Noticed today that embedding you tube video in to a forum post is no longer working.

I used to embed a video as shown in the attached jpg.

Noticed that I cannot see any previously posted the forum you tube videos now.

    Doesn't anyone notice this?

I can't see any either Pete. I'm guessing the forum changes that were made earlier in the week broke something.

Yup; all of the Homeseer instructional videos embedded in Homeseer forum posts do not show up anymore.

It looks like the custom BB codes in vBulletin to use youtube tags is no longer working. Should be fixable.

It would be something like this:
You can use the embed code on YouTube's site to make a BB code:

Admin CP -> Custom BB Codes -> Add New BB Code

          Title - YouTube
          Tag - youtube
          Replacement:

          Code:
          <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
          PHP Code:
          Example - [youtube]sVyfnSDIioQ[/youtube
          https://youtu.be/sVyfnSDIioQ

The above video is of our 9 month old Border Terrier - Riley

Edit: It looks like the problem has been corrected. Good job!

I personally see the embedding of you tube videos (Webinars et al) as a valuable Homeseer learning tool for newbies.

All they need to do is fix the broken BB code.

YouTube made a change which stopped it from working, try this:

                    Code:
                    <iframe width="425" height="350"
                    src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/{param}?rel=0" frameborder="0"

Your vBulletin settings should prevent users from embedding HTML as a severe security risk. Administrators usually can do it.

I find it odd that inline attachments also stopped working at about the same time. Now they look like this:

Name:	Capture.PNG
Views:	2
Size:	20.8 KB
ID:	1188360

                          Still using the same code
                          PHP Code:
                          [ATTACH]58567[/ATTACH
Older inline attachments seem to still work, you just cannot create a new one.

it's working now but you just need to put the basic link in the message now. No need to surround anything with brackets. HOWEVER, this will only work for videos going forward. It does not fix the existing instances.... no way to easily do that other than manually updating those links.
