    Errors in log after adding units to plug in.

    I just installed the plug-in as a trial. I have 5 DirecTV receivers.
    • HR34
    • HR24
    • 3X H25
    I installed the plugin and added the two DVRs to the configuration, the HR34 with the initial instance of the plug-in and the HR24 as a second instance of the plug in. Last night I added the three H25 receivers and began getting an error about once every 5 minutes. The 2 DVRs poll once a minute and the receivers are still at the default 5 minutes. I set all of the units into debug logging and have included a section of the log below. Are there any ideas what is causing the error and how to cure it?

    looks like the problem is with the box at 192.168.2.125. Which one is it? is it configured correctly? is it accessible from your HS machine?

      It is the H25 in the Master Bedroom. I can communicate with it and control it.

        in Menu->System Setup->Whole-Home->External Device, do you have 'Current Program' set to 'Allow' ?

          can you also make sure this is the only one that trigger this error, by disabling only this instance and then checking the log for errors for about 10 minutes

            Have you figured out this problem?
            Also how do you connect your H25 box to the network? one user asked in this thread if the plugin would work with a H25-100 and the Cinema Connection Kit, but I couldn't find a definitive answer.

              I think I have figured it out. the error was one of the H25 units. We power down the entire entertainment cabinet in the bedroom, including the H25. We do the same in my wife's office. The standby in the master bedroom for the TV, Yamaha receiver, DirecTV and HTPC is about 35-40 watts so it is shut down during the week. My wife's office is the same way and also has an H25. It makes sense that the plug-in cannot communicate if the unit is powered down. I disabled the plug-in on those two units.

              Our HR34 and HR24 receivers are always powered up as they are DVRs. The Basement H25 is not powered down yet, but that may come next. We use Z-Wave devices to power down a lot of standby loads during the day and in the case of the bedroom, all week. The total "vampire" loads turned off are more than 150-watts.

              You might think about how your plug-in could deal with that situation as I know a lot of people who power down standby loads when the equipment is going to be unused for a period of time.

              With regard to connection our system is not the new Genie, but is the previous generation with SWM, so a single RG6 goes to each receiver and it carries network as well as all satellite traffic. The internet connection is "injected" to the SWM splitter with an adapter. All of the H25 receivers can access DVR recordings on either the HR34 or HR24 through SWM. The H25 also has a RJ45 connection and it is my understanding that they can share the DVRs on a home network using CAT5e/6 cables. It is all a matter of setup. The SWM made sense for me just to reduce the cable count. I don't know how the H25 could deal with all the satellites on a single RG6 connection without SWM.
