Couldn't leave it alone

I went to install a couple of insteon switches today. I also activated insteon in some in line lincs that had been x10 only. Somehow I have tripped and fallen down.

The original items seem to work. However I had some problem with the two newer Keypadlincs. I got updates from the pads but because I had moved them I wanted to update the address database. That wouldn't work, it wouldn't find the links. So I decided to delete the keypad lincs and re add:
13:6B:7C
13:6A:8C
When I try to add them I get:
The device properites could not be read. Communication failure. The Device was not added.
One other anomaly.. I use the scripting feature to talk to my ezfloras. There is now a message between each transaction with the controller:
Script Insteon_ExtDevSupport.vb is currently running, waiting for it complete before its run again
I did update the version of plugin yesterday, it may be from that

I want to get these two switches back. Log attached

can you try the tap-add. another was able to register some new kpls with this method.


i would like to see a detailed log snippet of the register process.

looks like the device (13.6B.7C) didn't respond when the plugin tried to read its links. prior to that point everything looked fine.

can you do a factory reset on the device and try again?

they did need a factory reset and their is a procedure for linking mode I used before and needed to be repeated
