Honeywell Evohome / Total comfort connect

Has anyone had a look at integrating Evohome/Total comfort connect with HS ?

    https://infoeu.mytotalconnectcomfort.com/

Evohome is a retro fit system to give up to 12 individual zones on a typical* wet central heating system by replacing the TRV heads.
Although Honeywell advertise an API it doesn't appear to be very readily available, if past experience is anything to go by it'll only be available under an NDA. Over on the Automated Home forums there's a description of the underlying code and some Pyhton code - Scritping or programming are not my thing so I've no idea where to start

    http://www.automatedhome.co.uk/vbull...ntrol-remotely

    * Well, typical in the UK

It would be great to use this with HomeSeer!!!

Yes I wish someone could get the sdk/api and create a plugin but these guys will not release the sdk to hardly anyone. I've only seen a few select upper end companies have solutions.

          HS2 / 3

I suspect I know the answer - but is that HS3 only?
I am still on HS2 - but am thinking of going to Evohome.

Yes the IPThermostat plugin is for HS3. I have no plans for a HS2 version.

              Hi Rien,
I'm very glad to hear that you are working on your IP thermostat plugin
to integrate the Honeywell evohome system.
I use the ELV MAX! system for over two years but it's not very stable.
The evohome system is more expensive but I think it will work better and
              more stable.
What evohome components are required to use with your plugin ?
Do I also have to buy the touchscreen or only the gateway + radiator
              thermostats ?
Did you already make progress ?
I hope you can offer the enhanced plugin soon.

              Best regards,
              Fischi

For retrofit try also taking a look at the Heatmiser NEO system.

I've written a plug-in for this system which is now in the updater.

                    Hi,

The gateway and the Touchscreen(single or multi zone) or the "Round connected" (single zone) is needed as a minimum.

I don't think you can you the use the radiator thermostats with the gateway without configuring them on the touchscreen.

                      Hi NicolaiL,
I've searched for the Heatmiser NEO system.
Don't the radiator thermostats have a screen ?
I think they are not controllable per hand.
It seems that must be changed the whole valve.

If it's so I think the evohome system is the better one.

                      Regards, Fischi

                        Hi Fischi,

I see what you mean. The NEO is great for retrofitting existing systems that already have room thermostats, but not for connecting directly onto the radiators.

Having said that, I have recently done some building work and ended up putting an electric valve (of the type you normally use with underfloor heating systems) on to the radiator and then wiring it back to the NEO thermostat. Easy enough if you are doing building work, but a bit more messy if you can't easily run wires

                          HS-EVOHOME connector

Hi Rien - did you progress this? I would like to integrate HS with evohome. Any news?

Does Evohome work with Honeywell's Total Connect Comfort? If so, you might want to try Shill's Honeywell WiFi Thermostat plugin (http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=176013). It works with any of the thermostats that work with Total Connect Comfort.

The big problem is that it works in my (2) environments a 100% of the time. Even with accounts of people who have the issue in their own HS setup. This makes troubleshooting very difficult. I made a debug version for one of the users with the problem, but still I cannot figure out what is causing this.

We plan to investigate it deeper in the next couple of weeks together.
                              Regards,
