CT32 - Sensor Type Information Missing Error

I have had this CT32 thermostat for years now and works well. Since around a restart at the end of February
Feb-28 18:55:19 Startup HomeSeer version 3.0.0.298 Edition: HS3 Standard Starting Now
there has been a persistent issue in the log (amber in colour) being reported:
Apr-01 09:07:44 Z-Wave Warning Z-Wave Multilevel Sensor device Main Dining Room CT32 - Temperature is missing Sensor Type information - cannot update sensor status.
Tracing back in the log I find:
Feb-28 19:07:14 Z-Wave Warning Node 17, EndPoint=-1 Multilevel Sensor Report was not received (B) - the child device will NOT be configured properly.
On the very next poll this error starts:
Feb-28 19:18:06 Z-Wave Warning Z-Wave Multilevel Sensor device Main Dining Room CT32 - Temperature is missing Sensor Type information - cannot update sensor status.
I did a rescan this morning and appears all is reconfigured correctly:
    Apr-01 08:58:50 Z-Wave Device: Main Dining Room CT32 - Temperature Set to 21.1111111111111 (C)
Apr-01 08:58:49 Z-Wave 7 out of 7 Child devices of node 17 were created successfully.

Apr-01 08:58:49 Z-Wave Node 17 Supports Thermostat Setpoint CC and supports these setpoints: Heating 1, Cooling 1
Apr-01 08:58:49 Z-Wave Node 17 Supports Thermostat Mode CC and supports these modes: Off, Heat, Cool
Apr-01 08:58:49 Z-Wave Node 17 Supports Thermostat Fan Mode CC and supports these modes: Auto, On
    Apr-01 08:58:49 Z-Wave Device: Main Dining Room CT32 - Temperature Set to 21.1111111111111 (C)
    Apr-01 08:58:48 Z-Wave Device: Node 20 Z-Wave MS002 - Test Motion Sensor Set to Off/Closed/No Motion
Apr-01 08:58:48 Z-Wave Device: Node 20 Z-Wave Home Security Set to NOTIFICATION for type Home Security, Event: No Event

    Apr-01 08:58:47 Z-Wave Syncing Z-Wave nodes with device list...
    Apr-01 08:58:47 Z-Wave Found 31 Z-Wave nodes
    Apr-01 08:58:47 Z-Wave Getting Z-Wave node list for network C8E9XXXX...
After a couple polls since the recscan the error is reported:
Apr-01 09:07:44 Z-Wave Warning Z-Wave Multilevel Sensor device Main Dining Room CT32 - Temperature is missing Sensor Type information - cannot update sensor status.
Apr-01 09:29:02 Z-Wave Warning Z-Wave Multilevel Sensor device Main Dining Room CT32 - Temperature is missing Sensor Type information - cannot update sensor status.
    So my questions are:
    1. Is this a nuisance error? I am still receiving temperature updates and I can control through my automated events which is what I care about.
    2. What is being polled/requested every 22 minutes from the sensor?
    3. Has any code update in version .298 broken something with this thermostat?

    Thanks for any guidance.

I would upgrade the z-wave plugin to something newer than version .93 and then rescan again. You may need to delete that child device and then rescan. There were some bugs in .87 related to child devices that were fixed in .93 as far as I recall.

    Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion. I updated to beta .110 but the problem persists. I also deleted the child in question which had not been reporting since Feb 28. It is now gone and not coming back. Not sure what I lost.

Will revert back to supported release .87.

Try power cycling the thermostat and then rescanning it.

          Hi Al;

Loaded .110 back in and power cycled. Same error is reported unfortunately.

Not sure what else to suggest at this point. Probably best to email support@homeseer.com to open a case with them.

            Cheers
