    [c#.Net] MQTT plugin

I've developed an HS2 plugin for the light weight mqtt protocol.

It supports location tracking via the android/ios app - owntracks (a replacement for google latitude) but it uses mqtt protocol and your own private mqtt server.

I also built in support for microcontroller based sensors that can be programmed to send mqtt information. I use flyports and this provides for an instantaneous link between HS and iot devices. (www.openpicus.com)

Hi, any plans for a HS3 version of this plugin?

    Thanks

No problem, I haven't tried it myself yet, but looking at it to allow me to get mysensors sensor types that are not currently supported by the HS3 mysensors plugin into HS3. What type of integration with hive are you looking to do?

            Cheers

Someone really needs to write a dummies guide to mqtt. Wow. I feel challenged. Installed a mosquitto server on my windows box last night and was able to hook it up to Eventghost with no problem but it took me a while to figure out subscriptions and rooms, etc.

Very happy tonight though. I have an old Snapstream Firefly remote I used to use when I still had an HTPC and between mqtt, eventghost and homeseer (with a little help from our friend Easytrigger and Global Cache iTach) I am able to control my TV (volume and everything) FireTV stick from the remote and let HS know the things it didn't before.

Definitely a learning curve but I'm starting to get the hang of it I think.
