    Removing phantom node for good

I am trying a network optimization and see messages like this:
    Apr-24 8:27:22 AM
Z-Wave Done. The optimization was not executed as the node cannot be reached.

    Apr-24 8:27:18 AM
Z-Wave Optimizing node 8 (Zfloor Z-Wave Sigma Switch Multilevel)...

There is NO node 8 in my system. This is an artifact from a long dead node that I removed from the device list. Apparently z-wave still thinks it exists somehow. How do I fully get rid of it? I have nothing to exclude so that won't work....

    Thanks for any advice.

If you still have a root device, open the zwave tab and click on remove node.

Thanks - that worked for one, then I moved on to another and the attempt to remove the node has killed my Aeon z-stick twice now.
I start getting messages like this one:
      Apr-24 9:32:31 AM
Z-Wave Error Zstick: Error, the Z-Wave API Transmit Queue is not empty after waiting 20 seconds - the interface may be disconnected or not operational (Zstick).
I have to go reset the stick - which *sometimes* works, other times i need to power down the system and stick to get it to restart.
