Is anyone using one of the Ring Stick Up camera with this plug-in? I can't get mine to work.

My ring stick up does not show up on my plugin. The Ring doorbell and associated chimes do though.Last edited by AgileHumor; April 26, 2017, 10:51 AM.

Here you go.. I obfuscated a few things...not sure if I should or not...let me know if it causes you a problem..
After I started the debug logging, I triggered the camera to sense motion and I got the notification on my phones.
Let me know if you need me to do something else. I will be away for a while so there may be some gaps in my responses after this.

I saw that in the log. I've wondered about that because of what I see in the event. The event has a drop down box which I assume is to select the device, but there is no device to select.
I am getting a token. I don't know if there is a security risk for showing it which is why a didn't in the log.
It's 20 character string. Here it is with some of it obfuscated: K2xZ-yyy_jnzzzaUN51K
Both my cell phone and my wife's cell phone are getting the notifications. I tried using the Ring user email and password that I used to set up my Ring app on my cell phone in the Plug-in and it wasn't working so, I created a shared user in the same way I did for my wife's cell phone. I set up the shared user using the Ring app on my cell phone. I don't think there is another way other than that to set up another user.
I ran the Initialization again on the options page and repeated the sequence to produce the detailed log again and got this in the log:

Now it looks like it sees the stick up camera but it still fails to trigger the event and the drop down in the event does not show the device.Last edited by noopara; April 27, 2017, 07:26 PM.

I disabled 2.0.12 and then downloaded and installed 2.0.13
I still don't see the device "Front" in the DoorBot/Stick Up Cam drop down in the event. (should it show here??) All I see is "not set".
The event still does not trigger.
I did a restart with HS3 and then triggered the Stick Up Camera and got the notification on the cell phone but the HS3 event did not trigger. Nothing in the HS3 log.
I deleted my event and recreated it.
I then ran the Initialize routine and then triggered the Camera again with the same result.
Detailed log is attached.Attached Files

It's working now. Thank you.
The device now shows up in the drop down box in the event.
My cell phone is notified about 2 secs after opening the front door and stepping out on the porch. With the plug-in settings set a 25 records and 60 sec polling it takes a few minutes before the event is triggered. With it set to 1 and 1 it takes about 32 secs to trigger the event.
Would it be possible to reduce the time to trigger an event? Is there a way to capture the motion on the local network from the camera?
I don't see where the records are stored on the HS server so I assume that the polling period sets the time when all of the last x records are downloaded and the plug-in looks at them to find one that shows motion and that causes the event to trigger. The records are then deleted. I guess the 32 second time to trigger must all be in the Ring server and Internet time to process and transmit the data. It would seem that a user would want to trigger the event only on the most recent motion event. Why download multiple records? Why is that it is almost instant to the cell phone but 32 secs to trigger the HS event?Last edited by noopara; April 28, 2017, 01:17 PM.

Incomplete IF statement
There's a small nit that you may want to fix next time you are working on the code for this plug-in.
After setting up an event to detect motion the event shows the following:
IF BLRing: Motion for (see attached example)
I imagine you meant to put the name of the Ring device after the word for. It's working just fine though.
It would be nice if it was faster. (see my previous post)
Thanks for putting this one together.

Having sort of the same issue with 2.0.17.0
My first post, hello everybody.
This thread seems to be the closest to my problem that I can find.
In the log it seems that it initializes and get a token but can't read a json file for the device. It also seems to fail authentication on a page as well. Strange because it gets all the account information (I took out the information to protect the innocent) and gets the history but nothing shows in the Activity tab and my event never triggers.
If you could have a look at the log and maybe help Blade I would be grateful.
Thanks,
