    Robonect Plugin for Robot lawnmowers

    hello.
i have just installed a wifi-access-controller in my lawnmower from gardena.
now you are able to configure and even move the robot via web-interface and http commands.
there is an open api and its described here on german site:

    http://robonect.de/viewforum.php?f=10

i would like to see a plugin or script for making a device in HS3, where you see and set the current status, last faults and battery-state.
it would be easy to trigger events for example if the status changed in "returned to home" the door of the robot-garage could be closed.

if there is anyone with programming skills and could do something like that, i will donate for the work.

    I would second that.
I'm planning to buy the Robonect anyhow.

What's the cutting height on that brand? I don't remember seeing it when I was researching. I'm holding out till one shows up with Lidar, and has some navigating capacity other than a rogue bumpercar. Like the Neato Botvacs navigate vs the old Roombas. The last I researched, the Landroid Lawnbots seemed to be the one to get, but that was about a year ago.

Hi, it's not a separate brand. Robonect is a print which can be added to Gardena and Husqvarna, among others.
This German guy has completely reverse engineered the protocol between the robot controller and the mmi.
Since Husqvarna and Gardena and others have the same base robot inside, this robonect can work on multiple brands. See the forum of robonect.
He also provides an http posting API for easy integration.

Should not be too hard to integrate, unfortunately I have little to no programming skills myself.

          This one has
          https://www.toadi.com

It's a small Belgian company, the first ones will be delivered the end of this month.
so don't know the durability or effectiveness. I will go to visit them in a few weeks.
