    Looking for an online source

I am a novice to circuit boards and their parts. I am looking for an online source (with pictures), as I'm unfamiliar with the tech speak names for what
    I'm looking for.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Don, are you looking at things like Arduino/PIC/NodeMCU type microcontrollers which are an all in one solution or are you looking more for traditional single parts like inductors, resistors, capacitors etc? Or something else entirely...

I have a personal preference towards YouTube, there are a couple of channels like GreatScott or Adafruit/Sparkfun that have some good basic videos on them.

I'm trying to flash a couple of Sonoff modules. Looking at a youtube video, it shows a USB to serial adapter, and a 'four way header' that is soldered into the circuit board. Also shown are some bits of hardware that plug into the header and adapter. None of these things can be found at my local Radio Shack. It's about an hour to a large metropolitan area which might have this stuff. I was hoping for an online source for this and some future projects.

You can get what you are looking for on either Amazon or Ebay.

        What you need:

        USB FTDI adapter (https://www.amazon.com/HiLetgo-FT232.../dp/B00IJXZQ7C)
        Pin header (https://www.amazon.com/SODIAL-2-54mm.../dp/B00K67XSCY)
        Female to female jumpers (https://www.amazon.com/Breadboard-Ju.../dp/B01GK2Q4ZQ)

If you don't expect to be doing much electronics work, it would be a waste for you to buy the headers and jumpers since you only need so little. I'd be happy to send you those if you want.

Thanks for the offer, but I just ordered them.

              Appreciate it....
