Having trouble turning on a device for a length of time

I just tried a bran new device, a LinearLinc BulbZ. It's never been on the network (was still in the box). Screwed it into a lamp, successfully added it to the network, and same result. It can do everything including turn on in the future for a length of time, but just not turn on immediately for a length of time.

Just to reiterate, the command shows up correctly in the Alexa history. The skill, correctly, confirms the command. The light just does not turn on.

Are you able to turn any devices on for a length of time?

How about a device not connected to anything?

Try creating a new device by going to the device management page and clicking the green 'plus' icon in the upper right area of the page.
