    FLAC File Editor

I am working on copying my old records to cd, and then rip them to a FLAC file.
Anybody know of a good editor that can split FLAC files? Occassionally, some of the songs don't have enough quiet between them to register a new track.

You can do this with Audacity. Free download from https://www.audacityteam.org/

Use the Generate => Silence tool to increase the silent space between the tracks. Then you can easily export the pieces as separate files. I just tried this with a FLAC file and it works fine.

Forgot to follow up on this.
I got audacity installed and it worked great. Now to find the time to start recording my old albums and cassette tapes.

Thanks to both of you for the suggestions.
