System Specs:
I've been trying to get my DSC IT-100 communicating with my PC1832. This is a DIY installation of a PowerSeries PC1832 version 4.6CP-01. I used the PC-Link and DLS V to program the panel, enroll wireless sensors/key fobs, and enroll an RFK5501 (shows up as Keypad 1 in the software) and the IT-100 (which shows up in slot 8 as PK5500 version 1.0 after auto detection from DLS V). A DSC wireless module shows up as RFK5132 version 5.3, presumably because this is built in to the RFK5501. There's no land line connection here, so communications and telephone line monitoring is disabled, sections [380]-1 and [015]-7, respectively. I am not sure if I should have enabled communications for the IT-100 (section [380] - 1), which will be my only source of monitoring for now.
In the plug in configuration, I have the master code entered correctly, and I have two user codes entered correctly. The IT-100 baud rate is set to 9600, which is the unchanged default on the IT-100 module. The COM port is set correctly. I am using a USB-to-serial converter with an FTDI chipset. This converter works perfectly with my other serial devices, including the PC-LINK that I use to communicate with the PC1832. All my serial signals are sent over Cat5e (<20 feet), and I have used the following straight-through pin-out for DB9-RJ45 connectors:
RJ45 Pin (568B) / DB9 Pin
1 (orange/white) / 8 (blue)
2 (orange) / 7 (orange)
3 (green/white) / 6 (black)
4 (blue) / 5 (red) - GND
5 (blue/white) / 4 (green)
6 (green) / 3 (yellow) - TXD
7 (brown/white) / 2 (brown) RXD
8 (brown) / 1 (white)
When I try to arm the panel from the plug-in, NOTHING. No arming or disarming. This is what I get in the log:
4/23/2014 2:53:34 PM - DSC Security - Partition 1 armed from website by user XXXX

It's set up to ping every 10 seconds, which seems excessive, but that was the default. Anyway, it looks like the signal is sent to the panel, but it ignores the signal. The light is flashing nicely on IT-100, every couple of seconds. The devices for User Access and for Panel Status are Unknown, while the Device for LCD display shows the date and time that I fired up the plug-in.
I know this is a long message, but any advice?
