    Stopped Working

For some reason everything has stopped working for me. I've made no changes, but I can't even simply turn lights on/off from the device list. I can't get at OMNIPRO log. Almost seems like the plugin is no longer talking to the OMNI panel, but it is since I can see the alarm zones change in the plugin. Help! I've done a soft and hard restart of my home troller zee S2.

I did notice that I'm running 3.0.2.8 which I did not install for fear of jumping to the latest release. Does Homeseer now automatically install the updates? UGH.

    Thanks.

Here is the log from the reboot:

No, updates are only installed if you click the checkbox, then choose Download and Install.

From the logs, everything looks good, which is strange.
From the Manage Plugins page, try turning off the plugin, waiting a few moments, then starting it again. See if that comes up for you.

What protocol for lighting do you use?

Thanks for the quick response. I really am a novice at this. I did try turning the plugin off and on, but that didn't help. I have rebooted the home troller.

All lighting is Z-wave. That network seems fine, I can turn lights on/off from omnipro app, keypads, etc. just fine.

BTW I assume the warning below is not a problem? I see some other postings on that.

Not sure why, but problem solved. I go into OMNI Config Units and remove the device. I then go back in and add the device, they start working again. I've done a few devices, it is a little painful as the name defaults to the short OMNI name and I have to change them back to the longer spoken names. Again, not sure why, but at least I am back up and running. Now I just have to go through each unit.

Well, my solution was short lived. I am back to totally unresponsive Appreciate thoughts on how to fix.

Thanks again. So I have restarted and everything is working again - so I will keep my fingers crossed for a bit before I bother you again.
However oddly I get nothing in the OMNI logs. Logging is set to "Normal". I click on the load log and nothing ever happens. It starts with telling me log files might take a while to load - but I don't get anything.

You'll need to set the logging to DEBUG, then stop/restart the plugin.
After it completely starts up, try try to control your devices. You should see items in the log after doing this.

I have seen this with my HS3Pi several times with the last couple plugin revs, and mentioned it in another thread. I believe in my case it was caused when the network connection (to the omni?) dropped, for example rebooting my router, and the plugin did not reconnect correctly. PCAccess had no problems, and the plugin log showed no problems, it claimed commands were being sent, but the omni did nothing in response. I don't believe the device view in GUI showed any current update times when this happened for me. Restarting the plugin did not fix it, and I had to reboot the RPi. I don't see any way from the HS3 to tell if the plugin is actively communicating with the Omni, am I missing something? Just have to watch the device update time stamps and see if they change on expected events? (I know for me some never change anyway)

I have a similar issue on 3.0.2.8 that the plug-in will not reconnect to the panel after some sort of network disruption.

                    Version 3.0.2.4 works fine.

In a word, No. I always have to reboot my HS3Pi after I reboot my router for any reason. Just saw it on 3.0.2.15 recently. May be on Rob's list somewhere, but hard to troubleshoot as there is no indication in the log that there is a problem.

Yes, capture some logs for me and I can track it down. If there is nothing in the logs, then we need to dig a little deeper into HS or even the OS in /var/messages.
Somewhere there should be an indication of what happened to kill the process.

I was not able to reproduce this issue, so maybe fixed by some other change, or something about my network environment. I'll post if it happens again.

I turned on debug logging, rebooted my router, saw 7 "CONNECTION STATUS: Retrying" messages for 1 minute, then things seemed to go back to normal. No need to reboot HS3Pi. I believe the first time I asked Alexa to turn on a light nothing happened, but I suspect the path from Alexa to her cloud to MyHS to my HS3 to Omni was not fully re-established. Second time worked.

So maybe my issue was not the same as the others in this thread.

Rob, I had this issue again last night and this morning. I believe both occurred after router resets, although I did not reboot the router directly. I sent you logs via private email.

Last night Alexa commands had no effect. Same with HS GUI. Could not turn lights on/off. Connected with PCA via network successfully, and light control worked fine, so Omni network connection and function was OK. Rebooted HSPi, and HS and Alexa control were restored. Similar events this morning, after I initiated a router command that I think caused it to reset internally.

Started debug log before I tried some test commands.
Omni debug log did not show any errors (9/29) when I tried the commands, but it does appear that Omni may not be responding to them as it did previously when the commands worked (8/11)
