    Trouble with a KPL

    Hi,

    My KeyPadLinc stopped working, at least most of the buttons. They light up fine but do not control their loads. Here is a snippet:

    the links might be broken.

    there is a feature in the plugin where you can manually factory reset a device, and then us the Reprogram Device function for given device to add the links back in to that device.

    1. try this on one of the responder devices that isn't responding.

    2. try this on the KPL in question

      UPDATE: Apparently I was given wrong info, only one of the loads isn't responding, the fans. The rest work fine. The fans respond to other controllers.

      I will try this and get back to you. Thanks.

        maybe just delete the link that controls the fan and recreate.

          Well too late, I factory reset and reprogrammed the entire KPL as well as the fan switch. It did not have an effect.

            it appears the plugin is seeing the D btn press from the kpl and updating the status.

            delete the individual link between btn D and the switch and reprogram it.

                Glad its working. typically when a device doesn't respond, its the link within that device that is messed up. Same for when homeseer isn't updating status; the plm links are messed up. Usually a reset and reprogram fixes this.
