Advice on thermostats

Hi,

We are about to change our HVAC heat-pump units and I need advice on new thermostats.
We currently have Trane TZEMT043 and have been advised that we need to change them to work with the new variable speed/humidity controlled HVAC system we are looking to install.

What thermostats would you recommend?
It doesn't have to be z-wave but it has to be "integrateable" with Homeseer.
(i do have a insteon interface as well)

It seems that Venstar now have a API. (http://developer.venstar.com/)
Does anyone have experience with their T5x00 or T6x000 series of thermostats?
