Banner under user names

I wonder if someone can educate me how I would set the icons that I see under the names of many users as seen in the image below. Also are they just screen grabs or is there a source for the icons? Thanks

Go to User CP (control panel), then Group Memberships. Each group has an icon. Also when you belong to any group, you can add a signature.
