does internet connection affect this plugin

I was having some pretty spotty/weird issues this morning - lots with this plugin.

reboots seemed to help (Router, znet, etc)... which led me to find out that Comcast (my internet provider) was having what looked like DHCP problems.

My question is does this plugin need the cloud connection to work, or will it work locally?

Just trying to troubleshoot.

I've not tried the plugin, but I do have a Harmony. Some time ago (so I may be remembering this wrong), seem to recall being surprised when an internet outage knocked out ability to control the TV with the Harmony.

Its easy enough to test though, just pull the WAN connection from your router and see if it breaks.
