    Serial PLM with S2?

Hey all. First post! I decided to dump my ISY and give Homeseer a try. I currently have a Powerlinc 2413S serial PLM. It has an RJ45 port in it. I know the S2 requires USB to work. Can someone recommend a USB to RJ45 cable or converter that works and will be supported with Mark's plug-in. I don't want to just randomly buy the first well rated one on Amazon.

    Thanks,

    Kerry

Welcome to the Homeseer forum Kerry!

Just about any Amazon USB to Serial cable should work. MonoPrice stuff is pretty good.

Here with my Linux stuff use Digi of old and whatever single USB to RS-232 cables I purchased years ago.

Most common chipsets these days are FTDI or SiLabs. Linux updates its current USB database automagically.
