    Coverage?

    Curious to know what others are getting for room coverage with their Kinects? I just got in a used Xbox 360 Kinect from eBay and not too impressed with the coverage. I sit about 15 - 17 feet from my TV and the Kinect can't see me. Seems to only read to about 12 feet. Looking at the docs online it should she about 20'.

    So how far can your kinect see?

    according to Microsoft docs: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh973074.aspx, the range for skeleton tracking is between 0.8 meters (2.6 feet) and 4.0 meters (13.1 feet)

      hmmm, gonna have to rethink this...was really hoping to replace my x10 motion sensors with this. Might end up just using it for voice.
