IanIreland: I cant find the command spec for the CX-A5000 so I cant check what differs and if I might make the plugin compatable. Search around and see if you can find it, should be something YNCA command spcification something.

mystic860: Isnt AV1-7 the HDMI inputs?

sylcoucou: Ill look into the Zones too.

Wondering if I should ask the amplifier at plugin start-up and generate the devices depending on which amplifier is there or just generate devices for the most advanced amplifier. But I only have an hour or two a week to spend on this, so I want to make whats mostly needed first.

No they are not. Good question though I had to go look it up.

        Strange, on mine they are.

The HDMIs are called AV and are connected to the AV1-4 phono plugs. There is a select setting which input to use on the AV1-4s.

Then there are the three Audio1-3. They are in the plugin.

But if the ports are named different on your device and in your devices YNCA codes the plugin might not work either.

Hmm, Im using it for the RX-A3060, so it seems CX-A5000 should be the same. But perhaps the naming of the commands is a bit different.

If you start the plugin in debug mode, what happens in the console window?

As soon as I have a minute I'll re-install and have a look.

How do I set it to debug mode?

Just uncheck the enable on this plugin in "PLUG-INS->Manage" check "developer mode" and re-enable. Then uncheck the "developer mode" check box.

You should now have the console window there.

On the computer that runs homeseer. It will just pop up. On what are you running HS?

I run HS on a headless server in the basement, running as a service.

                        More play.....!

OK - I had a play. As you can see I set the IP, then tried Party Mute and Mute.

Neither had any effect on the amp.

                              Some progress.

If I put the IP address in - it doesn't work.
If I put the IP address in and restart the plugin - it works.
If I restart HS I have to re-enter the IP as above, then it works again.

Hmm, ok, I store the IP number in windows registry. Might there be some reason you are not allowed to write to it?

There is suppoused to be a way to store parameters in HS instead. Havent looked into it.
