Install Z-Wave plug-in for HomeSeer 2.1?

I installed a TZ40 Z-Wave thermostat at home with no problems and Homeseer version 2.2.0.11 added it beautifully, complete with control options for setting heating and cooling temperatures, turning the fan on/off/auto, and all that good stuff. It did this without me ever installing the Z-Wave Thermostat for HomeSeer 2.1 plug-in from the Update page.

So, should I install the Z-Wave Thermostat for HomeSeer 2.1 plug-in? Will it provide any better functionality that what Homeseer appears to have by default?

I use the plug in, can't remember exactly why i moved to the plug in over the buit in support. I think you get more features - event actions and triggers i think. The plugin works flawlessly so i would recommend that.

Ah yes, I see now that there is much greater support for creating thermostat events with the plug-in. Very nice. Thanks.
