2 devices out of 30 no longer responding

So I have a number of Insteon devices and outside of a few of them going bad had very few issues. Recently however I have had 2 devices that work fine but no longer can be added to homeseer. Both of them were in homeseer before. 1 simply vanished (a keypad) and another I had pulled out to better secure the box it was in.

Both work fine, the keypad even has all of it's linked devices functioning correctly. However I can't get them added in homeseer. I have tried restarting the PLM and reprogramming still no luck. I have tried resetting the switchlinc and no luck there. Both devices have more recent firmware the switchlinc is v4.2 and the keypad is v5.9.

What am I missing here? Can these go bad in a way where they just can't be used by the PLM but work fine otherwise?

please enable detailed logging on the plugin config page, and try to register one device after the other then post the hs log snippet of the registration process here. i need to see if the devices are responding at all to the plm.

the switch isn't responding to the plugin's request. But it seems like another device (1B.03.69) is responding instead. it might be overrunning the switch response. I've seem this before with other users.

try pulling the set btn on that device (1B.03.69) to temporarily disable it while you try to register the switch.

try another factory on the switch just to make sure that is not the issue.

          Whats next

So I found that Insteon address. It was a EZIO. I pulled out the module and tried to add the switch again. No dice. Here is the log.

            try the following
            1. factory reset the device. check manual for procedure. retest.
            2. if the device is in a jbox with other devices, pull the set button on the other devices. retest.
            3. if all else fails, remove the device from the box, connected the device to a cut extension cord plug, and plug it into the outlet near the PLM, and retest.

              Very confused

So I have tried the reset no luck. There are no other items in the box either. So I pulled the switch and put in a new one. Still no dice.

I am stumped. Could this be related to the bulb? I put in a new LED bulb recently. I have other switches with LED bulbs and they are fine. That said I think the bulb in this light is different than some of the others I have previously purchased.

The wiring should be fine. I have had a switch working there in the past. I am really confused.

                1. try pulling the new led bulb, and registering the switch
                2. try #3 above with the switch that you pulled.

                  Still no dice

So I did not have an extension cord handy to splice but I did pull the bulb. I have now tried 2 different switches and both will not add. Here is the log with the latest switch which I had pulled out of the box.

there is something about that location.

can you try either switch in another location? this is why i suggested the extension cord. even an old lamp cord with a plug will work. cap off the red.
