Relays not working on Stargate plugin?

Does anyone know why the plugin might not be controlling Stargate relays? This is a new install (trial) for a friend. They work on my setup, but for some reason Homeseer can't change the relays.

    Thanks!

    Hi Andy-

Make sure you get the latest build out of the updater. There have been a number of changes, and the latest build has many import fixes. Make sure you do a re-import as well.

Thanks, RJ. But the build was brand new, just downloaded HS, did the upgrade to v2.2 beta, and added the plugin via the updater (all on the 19th). On the other hand, I was about to add that I was mistaken about my ability to do this with my own setup. In reality, my design sets a flag that triggers the relays. HOWEVER - now you've got me wondering... so the newer build actually IS supposed to directly control Stargate relays? Hmmm. Didn't work for some reason. Thanks for the quick response!

        Hi Andy-

Still confused here, is this working or not? You should be able to set relays in the latest build. The only exception would be certain types of relay expanders, the 8CUR's successor I believe. If you are using any, please let me know the model number and I will check on it.

Make sure that you have "other" enabled on the stargate.

As a side note, my relays only work part of the time with the new build. From the log it says setting Flag ]3 when I send to Stargate from Homeseer, but when I use webx to send the relay trip I see relay ]3 in homeseer log.

Below is log. The first line is from HomeSeer but does nothing in stargate. The bottom two are from stargate and work.

              mattdb-

Do the relay and flag devices appear correctly in the Status page? In other words, does ]3 appear as a relay or a flag? What is the housecode for corresponding numbered flag? Do the flag and relay have the same name?

I vaguely recall having a similar problem a long time ago. Maybe something in the device properties got messed up. I would try deleting all your Stargate Devices and then re-importing them with the plugin.

The do appear correctly and I did a reimport of the devices to no avail.

Homeseer sure isn't what stargate is.

                  Hi Matt-

This is a problem with your JDS.ini file that occurred in an older build. If you can forward this file to me, I can repair it for you so you do not have to rebuild your events.

Please send it directly to rj [at] homeseer.com, and I will send it straight back with the fix.

                    RJ / Matt,

Thanks for the feedback, but strange things are happening. I've been working with this customer remotely via Webexpc, and "other" is configured for Stargate, but nothing happens whatsoever when relays are activated. I just updated to most recent version of HS and plugin to no avail. Also noticed something even stranger: when I import SG devices, it says that it imported 23 devices, but only about 17 appear. And, yes, "all" locations & devices are being displayed (only they're not?? or not really being imported). The issue seems to be that flags are either not being imported, or else not displayed.

                    Thanks for any help.

                      Hi Andy-

If possible, could you send me your DBF files? I think I could take a look at these and figure out what is going on here.

                            Matt,
In part because of this earlier exchange, I chose to operate my relays from SG only. I created simple Then Macros for the relay actions, then call the macros from HS event. It's worked with no problems. Here's an example of a script that calls a SG macro:

                            Code:
Public Sub Main(ByVal Params As Object)

                                    Dim intRval As Integer
Dim oSG As Object = hs.Plugin("JDS StarGate")
                                    intRval = oSG.ThenMacro(18)

                                End Sub
Note that the plug-in calls macros by number only. The help file says you can call them by name, but I could not get that to work. Also, the macro numbering starts at 1, not at zero. The help file is a not clear on that point either.
