    Security system pad/without security pannel

    Hi everyone
What I am looking for is a security system pad (wireless) with out having to buy the whole security panel.
The reason I want to to go that route is because I already have a combination of zwave sensors and x10 sensors.
I would like a easy way to arm and disarm the system, with out having to pull out my phone every time I get home.
A key chain remote would be nice too.

Is their anything on the market that will do that?

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi Nick,

do you have any x10 rf stuff? if so you could use one of these:

You mentioned disarming, do you have an existing panel today or are you using homeseer as a security system?

This is a realy closure keypad:

you could wire that to something to send the disarm code.

The thing is, alarm panels are not that expensive:

the nx8e has an rs232 bus that you can connect to homeseer and its a full peice of kit.

Yes I have a mix of x10 and zwave sensors and devices.

I guess what I am looking for is just the LCD arm/disarm pad being the fact that I already have all the sensors, I really have no need for the panel.

I have a KR10A but it is vary bulky on a key chain.
That is the reason I don't just use it.

I would love to use RFID and the get a Kwikset 99100-004 Motorized Deadbolt.
I have yet to find a low cost reader that will work with Homeseer without scripting or programming.
It looks like Homeseer no longer sells any RFID products?

I have a Arduino Mega 2560 that I could use, but lack the programming skills to make it work with Homeseer.

Thanks for the suggestions they are much appreciated!
Any other suggestions that you might have I would love to hear.
