    problems with new update 3.0.1.190 - Solved!

    My zwave network won't start after updating to 3.0.1.190...

    At startup getting error:

    4/7/2018 7:19:43 AM ~!~Error~!~Initializing plug-in(1): Z-Wave Instance::Error creating web utility pages with the HomeSeer server: Could not load file or assembly 'Newtonsoft.Json, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)Startup Complete, 1 errors detected, check the log for more information.

    My Manage plugin page reads: WARNING: Failed getting InterfaceStatus from Z-Wave - the interface was not found in the list of active interfaces, the list may need to be refreshed.

    Try disabling the plugin and re-enabling it.

      I have tried that...I have not, however, uninstalled and reinstalled. I forgot how involved that is, it has been so long...

          See this post for information on this error. There were some plugins that were overwriting this file which causes this error.

            I'm not following how to implement the advice in that thread in my installation as an end user.

            Which of my plug-ins is using Newtonsoft DLL? Presumably it is the Z-wave plugin that is referencing the Newtonsoft DLL. And why would it reference it correctly before the new plugin but not after? Why doesn't the new z-wave plugin get this right?

            Am I really supposed to edit the plugin. What exactly is an end-user supposed to do?

              Do you have a Newtonsoft.Json.dll file in the root of your HS3 folder? If so move it out and restart HS3.
