    HAI Plugin Beta v3.0.1.23

A new version of the HAI plugin was submitted to the updater this afternoon. It may take a day or so
before it shows up. I am no longer providing the updates here to keep things a little cleaner.

    Changes in this version:
    • Fixed - Issue with building events for "Any User Except" (users must delete/rebuild events) (lakemirror)
    • Added - Logs page for displaying logs instead of having to get them manually (chasers03)
    • Fixed - connection issues (madas)

***Backup your current installation so you can revert back if needed!!

Scene Users: There is a new tab in the plugin page called "Scenes". It is a test page only.
I need you to see if your scenes work with the commands on that page.
It does not read your existing scenes, only the scene numbers.
You will need to do the following:

--test setting a scene ON, OFF and A-D.
--These are HLC scenes, however, they function as Compose scenes.
--Note which combination you used, the expected behavior, did it work.
--What type of scene controller (mfg) are you using.

This information will be logged and you will need to send me the log files.
The purpose of this approach is that it is difficult to test all scene hardware everyone
is running. The information gathered here, will help me build HS devices so that
you can control your scenes with HS Events.

Note: As of HS3 v3.0.0.312, HST has removed backups of the plugin updates.
For this reason, rolling back to previous versions is dependent on the user making a backup
before upgrading in the updater. Always make a backup of your HS folder before installing updates.

You can now view your logs using the plugin instead of using WinSCP to copy them, or using an event. This should come in handy for Zee users.
On the Plugins menu, hover over HAI, then choose Logs.

If you have a large log file, it might take a while to load.
You can also delete your log file to save disk space.

        Thank you Rob.

Tested one HLC room (virtual scene switch) using the plugin and an OmniTouch 5.7e.

1 - If I turn on / off HLC room / enable a scene from virtual scene controller on the Omnitouch 5.7e the plugin HLC variables all change accordingly.

2 - Using HS3/Plugin if I turn on or off the scene controller (virtual room controller) then all of the devices change underneath it accordingly. The room controller variable though does not show a scene on or off or scenes a,b,c,d.

3 - If I go physically to the Hallway switch and turn it on or off the variables do not change on the Omnitouch 5.7e or the Plugin. I know it relates to links but have not been able to get it to work. Using the UPB program which creates variables for the Links and UPB lights I can see the links activate or deactive and the light switch status change.

So in a recap from what I can tell the plugin is working / connecting to the HLC switches except for only the on and off scene stuff but not the A,B,C,D scene stuff.

Yesterday tried similiar with an HAI HLC switch instead of the SA US1-40 switch and still do not see the status change when I physically turn on or off the switch.

Testing the scenes tab in the configuration menu room on, off, scene a,b,c,d - nada happens.

A couple of days back with previous verson the DCA trouble variable showed up again. I do not know why as PCA/Keypads/Omnitouch 5.7e doesn't show a trouble status.

Good info, Pete - can you attach a screenshot of your PC Access HLC Scene control from the "Send Command" option?

            @Rob,

Here is a screen print. Guessing how it works.

That said I have tried using it and do not see any activity in the logs when using it. I am also monitoring links and variables with the UPB software and see nothing changing there. Not sure how you have it configured to working.

If I do what you see here and submit it doesn't show any activity using the Upstart logging program or debug logs in the plugin.

Changed it just now and using tail -f hai.log and do see a scene command being sent over to unit #37

Here also looked at the OmniTouch 5.7e screen and do not see a change in the room scene controller.

Here is what I see in the logs just now using the scene control test stuff for unit #37 - just an ON command.

Note here I am also looking at PCA status of the units and the UPB plugin running on the other HS box that shows variables (units) and links. I am not seeing any changes there.

Will go to the upstart logging and watch there. No activity.

I go to the Omnitouch 5.7e and turn on room 5 and see in the upstart logs...then a minute or two later the room #5 is turned off by itself. If I disable the plugin then it remains on looking at the OmniTouch 5.7e.

            Guessing command, drop down and

1 - submit should be turning on and off and doing A-(80%), B-(60%), C-(40%), D-(20%) HLC unit 33 (room controller) but nothing to unit 37 (HLC unit).

and scene control drop down of room 33 should be doing all of the devices as in number 1.

Sorry, Rob, still no joy on the arm/disarm user notify.

The wording in the event is accurate now, but the event itself still only fires if manually triggered. I've tried it with using any user but me, and also with me specifically. Neither work by disarming the system.

I haven't tried it to see if an event would trigger by arming the system rather than arming, though. I've run out of time tonight. If you want, I can try that tomorrow.

I've tried it every which way I can think of. Nothing fires off the events I built. These are new events, btw, built after the update. Sorry.

                    Relating to HLC lighting...

BTW concurrently looking at a pure HAI HLC home with some 50 plus HAI HLC switches. Here can only remotely look at PCA status and Snaplink status and Upstart status. Users primarily use Snaplink on their mobile phones.

Will connect to the house with the HAI plugin.

The house has one Omnitouch 3.5" legacy screen and I cannot see it.

Will request that they tap on a switch so that I can watch PCA and Snaplink and the HS3 OP2 plugin at the same time. Curious what I will see.

It's hard to say what that could be. I'll see if there is anything I can do on a reconnect to make it work.
