    Received CM15 Address:M1, Command:socialite

    Hello,

One of my devices, a lamp, mysteriously switches off from time to time on the Device Management screen although not in reality.

Although the actual lamp does not actually switch off it prevents an "Event" from taking place which is conditional upon that device being seen to be in the ON position.

From the log, I can see that the culprit is what seems to be a series of random commands to the address M1. When these commands are received they switch off the device which happens to be on C2.

From searching through the message board I can see that this is a known problem in HS3. There was a post on it as recently as October 2014, but still waiting for a fix, I believe.

As a temporary solution I thought there may be a way of having the system ignore any commands to or from that house code. I came across the attached screenshot somewhere on the message board that suggests that there may be a way of doing this but I can't seem to find the equivalent page on my version of the software which is 3.0.0.152 (Windows).

    Thank you

    ... an update.

I've discovered that when that spurious command is issued, it switches all the devices off in the Device Management page, not just the lamp that I was referring to.

I later found that the major cause of the error emanates from one of the MS13 type motion sensors. The number of such errors is dramatically reduced when the house/unit code on that particular sensor is changed. No other sensor has that problem.

I should also point out that this is specific to HS3 so it cannot entirely be attributed to "noise" on the line. It's fine with HS2.

The source of the problem in my case can only be one of many possible causes for that error because although the occurrences have been dramatically reduced they still have not been totally eliminated.

In any case, I'm still interested to know whether certain house codes can be ignored by the system in the way that is indicated in the attached screenshot. I can't find an equivalent page on my version of the software and it may provide a temporary solution until Homeseer can fix the bug. It's obviously a significant problem for any "Event" that relies on a device being recognised as "ON". It just doesn't work.

Alternatively, any suggestions for a workaround solution would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Received CM15 Address:M1 messes us my homeseer installation

      Hi All,

I have exactly the same issue and this basically renders my X10 sensors useless as the plugin receives a lot of these commands every day: Received CM15 Address:M1, Command:socialite,d6,9d,cb,9a,69

This turns off my lights, resets the status of my X10 alarm and sets off all kinds of events accordingly.

Isn't there any workaround for this issue? I might as well unplug my CM15 interface as it does more harm than good

Do you have the latest version of the plug-in installed?
        https://forums.homeseer.com/showpost...47&postcount=3

It's more likely that you will get a response to this problem if you post in the X10 forum.

There has also been an extensive discussion of this problem on
          https://forums.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=170644
It never got resolved. Some users insist it must be noise because they see no problem, I myself am 100% sure it isn't noise. It never happened during many years of using CM15A+HS2, and it never happens with CM15A + HS3 on Linux.
I eliminated the CM15A, but I still use several X15 remotes which are now received by RFXCOM: this has been 100% reliable for over two years now.

Please install and test Beta v3.0.0.10 (posted here: https://forums.homeseer.com/showpost...47&postcount=3) and let me know what happens.

Also, please see this post for the details on this issue: https://forums.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=170644

Finally, I am going to request this thread be moved to the HomeSeer X10 Plug-in forum so that others can find this info if they have similar issues.

I have installed the latest plugin but the problem persist (see below). I looked up my devices in Activehome as well and can confirm that all are reporting fine. I also replaced the batteries in my door sensor (just in case) and none of these actions has solved my problem.

                  Any ideas guys?

Based on the log entries you posted it appears you do not have the latest beta version (3.0.0.11) installed. Note that you cannot install beta releases using the HS3 updater and must use the procedure outlined in the post for the CM15a version of the plugin: https://forums.homeseer.com/showpost...47&postcount=3

After using the beta install procedure, please verify that you have 3.0.0.11 installed by checking the plugin version on the Manage Plugins page.

Once you have this version installed make sure to enable Developer Mode and the verify the plugin is reporting "OK". You will then see log entries similar to this for invalid received data:

                    jun-16 11:05:23 CM15A DEBUG Invalid RF command received! info: RCVRF, device: M1, command: socialite,e6,9d,cb,9a,69, value: , part5: , part6: , part7: . No action taken!

And you will continue to see entries like this for valid received commands:
                    jun-16 11:05:23 CM15A DEBUG Received CM15 Address:M1, Command:ON
                    Best regards,
                    -Mark-

If you're not out on the edge, you're taking up too much room!
