adding more events to alexa

I have had alexa working well for a while now with my homeseer. I just added in a new device and checked the voice command button. I have told alexa to add devices and it is not adding new devices. How do I get alexa to add devices again once it has devices in it already.

You can either use the app to discover devices, or tell Alexa to discover devices. It might be possible that the device you are trying to add cannot be controlled by Alexa, that is why nothing shows up a new.

It is an insteon appliance module. It is controlling insteon switches without issue. I am trying to discover via the website. Is an appliance module not compatiblie?

I believe the device needs to be dimmable for it to show up on Echo.

My insteon switches that are working don't dim.
