Roomba not connected to the plugin often

    Bob,

I notice that the plugin very often looses the connection to the Roomba here.
If the plugin is running for more then a day chances are almost 100% that a trigger to start the Roomba will not start the roomba itself. A restart of the plugin is then needed to get it started - if I am lucky.

Even the restart of the plugin does not always connect to the roomba it seems, but without the plugin noticing it is not connected? Here are two logs of a restart in the plugin:

    A restart, correctly connecting:

    Code:
nov-15 17:31:09 BLRoombaWifi	Roomba: Robbie - weekly schedule changed to No schedule entered
nov-15 17:31:09 BLRoombaWifi	Roomba: Robbie - software updated to v2.2.11-4

nov-15 17:30:54 BLRoombaWifi start	Loaded configuration successfully
nov-15 17:30:54 BLRoombaWifi start	BLRoombaWifi version is: 2.0.12.0

    nov-15 17:30:43 Plug-In	Shutting down Plug-In: BLRoombaWifi

An incomplete restart done just before the above log, no errors, but no info on failed connection, nor a status to warn me.

    Code:
    nov-15 17:28:24 Plug-In	Finished initializing plug-in BLRoombaWifi
nov-15 17:28:24 BLRoombaWifi start	BLRoombaWifi plug-in has been initialized

nov-15 17:28:22 BLRoombaWifi start	Loaded configuration successfully
nov-15 17:28:19 BLRoombaWifi start	BLRoombaWifi version is: 2.0.12.0

nov-15 17:28:19 Info	Plugin BLRoombaWifi has connected. IP:127.0.0.1:54552
Is it possible to have the plugin to show if it is or is not correctly connected to the roomba? Because it is now a bit hit or miss starting the roomba unattended...

    Thanks,

    Wim

I am not seeing that here with my 980. HS3 has been running for over 18 days here and I just triggered my roomba to start cleaning
    Cheers,

Ok, so I am just out of luck hoping for a disconnected status?

If you go to the options page and turn on the message received checkbox do you see any log entries in the HS log similar to this:

        Roomba message rcvd --> topic: wifistat; message: {"state":{"reported":{"signal":{"rssi":-32,"snr":55}}}}
        Cheers,

          Bob,

there are no messages when the plugin inits without connecting correctly to the roomba, even when I start the roomba with the irobot home app later. But I am guessing becausethe plugin did not manage to connect (timeout?) - The Irobot home app has no issues at all here, nor is my wifi having issues.

When the plugin is connecting to the roomba, there is loads of the messages in the log.

I seem to be having a similer problem here. Mine seems to be more after the roomba gets stuck. I move it back to the dock and nothing seems to update at all. If I disable plugin and re enable then all goes back to reading charged, on the dock and all updates.

@Bob, I just noticed that both of my 980 were not updating, looking at the plugin both vacuum particulars are missing (as if I just installed the plugin). Is there a config file (or similar) that I can look for in my backups to remedy the missing data? Mike

Update: Never mind, found the hspi_BLRoombaWifi.ini from one of my earlier backups that had both 980 particulars; simply replaced the file and disabled/re-enabled the plug-in and am now up and running thanxs anyways. Mike
