    Monitor humidity

I'm just getting started with 1-wire. I've ordered a OW server along with 10 temperature probes but I was wondering how to monitor humidity. Can I use a cheap sensor like DHT22 1-Wire Bus DC 5V Temperature and Humidity Sensor Module With 3 Wire Amazon or do I have to use the more expensive OW-ENV - Wall Mount Sensors.

I am not sure if humidity sensors found on ebay or amazon can be used by themselves. I believe most humidity sensors include a stand alone temperature sensor because temperature is used to calculate humidity.

I have used the following sensors and have been very happy with them:

MS-TH - Temperature and Humidity Sensor available at http://www.ibuttonlink.com/products/ms-th

    OW-ENV-TH - Temperature / Humidity Sensor available at http://www.embeddeddatasystems.com/O...sor_p_168.html

The DHT22 uses a MaxDetect 1-wire bus which is incompatible with the Dallas 1-Wire bus: http://dlnmh9ip6v2uc.cloudfront.net/...ther/RHT03.pdf. There are some details online on how to build your own humidity sensors that work with the Dallas 1-wire bus such as this one: https://taaralabs.eu/1-wire-humidity...rature-sensor/. None of them are cheap as humidity sensors tend to cost a lot. If you want to use the DHT22 series of sensors you could look at using Arduinos to integrate them with HS as there are a few options for that.
