I recently decided to make Sonos our whole house music and TTS source. I am very happy with the Sonos ecosystem, but I have two play 5 speakers that are dead.
I purchased all of the speakers used, so they are well out of warranty. I have been a consumer electronics technician for 45 years, so I decided to disassemble them and see what was wrong. They both failed in the same fashion, the primary (switch mode) power supply is dead. All of the basic component checks did not show any bad parts, but I really need a schematic to go further.
I called Sonos and got some very firm answers
I really hate to throw these away, while I did buy them used and spent a lot less than on new, they were still costly.
Has anyone found a way to source schematics and/or replacement boards?

- They DO not provide schematics
- They DO NOT provide replacement parts
- They WILL NOT service any speaker that has been disassembled
