    Was it an oops?

Note that this was reported a few times by various media sources on Friday, June 6, 2014

Here in the Midwest I just saw the game "Tetris" on Friday, June 6, 2014 on the various internet connected devices with home pages to Google.

Was it really an oops or just what people say (or tweet) should have been there or what was decided to be put there?

Google Doodle messes it up: Japanese Go player honored on 70th anniversary of D-Day
By Nicole Arce, Tech Times | June 8, 12:01 AM

Google Doodle has made a major blunder by failing to honor the 70th anniversary of D-Day on Friday, June 6, 2014, angering Internet users who took to Twitter to voice out their frustration.

One Twitter user laments how Google "has some 'seriously' messed up priorities" while another wonders why Google can come up with "a digital Rubik's cube but fail to remember D-Day at the 70th anniversary."
