      Hello Mkobos,

I don't know why your Elk M1 is not responding to the query in a timely manner. Are you updating the counters you have defined in your Elk M1 panel multiple times a minute? Can you provide the command time-out value you have defined within the plug-in options web page?

      Regards,

        Hi UltraJones,

To my knowledge, I only frequently change one ELK counter with HomeSeer.

Every 5 minutes, the ELK subtracts one from Counter05. I have a HomeSeer event that triggers when Counter05 is less than 3 and it then sets it back to 3. If homeseer is down, the counter gets to 0 within 15 minutes on the Elk and then the Elk sends me an alert that homeseer is down. (Kind of a reverse of the UltraM1G Elk watchdog)

I do change a couple other counters (ie nightime indicator) once a day.

Is the cvxxxx command a change to a counter? Is the change initiated on HomeSeer or the Elk?

        Thanks for your support!

Okay, thank you for confirming. We can rule out rapid counter changes as a possible cause.

The Elk M1 Counters do not send a change event. Counters have to be polled in order to determine their value. In this case, your Elk M1 is not responding in some queries in under 1.5 seconds. Can you try to increase the time-out to 2 seconds to see if that fixes the issue?

Please Note: My plug-in does not hide or suppress any communication issues that may occur between the plug-in and your Elk M1 security system. The warnings you are seeing may indicate you may be experiencing communication issues to the plug-in. Can you ping your Elk M1XEP from your HomeSeer system to confirm you're not seeing any packet loss?

          Code:
          ping 192.168.1.55 -n 250

            Hi Ultra:

You are right on it. Ping shows 20% dropped packets even through the HS PC (brand new) is only 10 feet away from the router. Hooked up a CAT6 cable to the Ethernet card and direct to the router - - same thing 20% packet loss...

Went back to the old PC, no packet loss, and the UltraM1G error messages are gone.

I will be following up with the PC manufacturer.

            thanks for all your help.
