    version.73 Tides - Some working

    Hi Jeff,

The new version created the new tide devices and some of them are updating. How can I tell if the info is just not there or if something else is wrong? Happy to provide logs if needed.

    Michael

In the HS3/data/weatherXML directory there will be a file called WUForecast1.xml. The 1 could be a different number based on how many locations you have setup.

If you do a search for <tide> you will get to the tide section.
Then you can see if the data is provided or not.

      Jeff,

I think I see the same thing, for 7/9/17, the evening tides are missing. Compounding my confusion is the fact that there are two files, WUForecast1.xml and WUForecast4.xml, both I believe to be showing the missing tide information, though I only have one tide station.

The WUForecast file will be there for any of the locations using WU for the forecast. You can find out which number by looking at the locations edit page. At the top is a dropdown to switch between locations. They are in order with location 1 on the top.

What I noticed when working on this was that data for the Day 4 didn't give the whole day. As each hour went by, the next data item would be in the file. So a Day 4 tide value at 9PM would not show up until Day 0 was past 9PM.

It would also remove Day 0 (Today) data as the time went past. What I did to keep that info was to not update the earlier items if there was no actual data.

It seems like the 4 day data is actually 96 hours.
