UltraGCIR is a HomeSeer HS2 plug-in that allows you to use HomeSeer to control IR and relay devices, such as televisions, AV receivers, Blu-ray players, motorized blinds and more. The UltraGCIR also allows event based triggers using the Global Cache auto-notify sensor inputs.
How It Works:
- UltraGCIRUltraGCIR uses the Global Cache discovery protocol to automatically detect the Global Cache devices installed within your home.
- Each Global Cache device is queried for installed modules.omeSeer device is created for each detected module.
- Using the Global Cache iLearn utility, you learn the IR commands for your remote controls and save the results to a file.
- Using the IR Import configuration web page, you then import the learned commands for the desired IR module.
- Learned IR commands can added, modified or deleted using the IR Devices web page.
- Control your IR devices and relays using HomeSeer device actions.
Features:
- Support for an unlimited number of Global Cache devices. However, the plug-in is currently limited to a total of 90 HomeSeer devices (about 22 Global Cache GC-100-06 units).
- Support the GC-100 and iTach Global Cache IR/Relay devices.
- Automatically detects all Global Cache devices on your home network.
- Ability to disconnect and reconnect a Global Cache device.
- Error Try/Catch logic to ensure plug-in doesn't fail with an unhandled exception.
- Web page is non-code behind ASP.Net to allow the user to customize the code and interface.
Example Usage:
- Control your IR device using the HomeSeer web control.
- Control your IR device using HSTouch and HomeSeer device actions.
- Turn off your audio/video equipment using a HomeSeer event and a HomeSeer device action trigger.
- Mute the TV volume when your telephone rings using a HomeSeer event and a HomeSeer device action trigger.
Installation:
- Install and uninstall support using HomeSeer's new plug-in install template.
