    Own Alexa Skill???

Can anyone tell me, what a own skill looks like to control devices with alexa?
would like to have a skill named e.g. "my-home" and want to be able to say: "alexa, tell my-home shut down shutters, or switch to TV-Channel XY". Didnt find any example here.
Because I live in Germany, I don't have access to the official Alexa-Skill

Does anyone know if Amazon has planned to keep a favourite skill permanently active so that you can do without "tell my-home..."?

So you're wanting to create your own skill such that you can have its own invocation name, right? Or should I say, "Richtig?".

If so, then what computing infrastructure will this skill communicate to? Your own? Or the infrastructure that HomeSeer Technologies has built?

What language do you want to use? English? Deutsch?

So, you can create your own developer skill definition relatively easy and have it point back to HomeSeer's myHS computing infrastructure that can have your own Alexa invocation name. But at this time all of this would probably be in English only.

It might be helpful if you would provide a little more detail.
HomeSeer 2, HomeSeer 3, Allonis myServer, Amazon Alexa Dots, ELK M1G, ISY 994i, HomeKit, BlueIris, and 6 "4k" Cameras using NVR, and integration between all of these systems. Home Automation since 1980.

      Hello Krumpy,
yes i want to create my own skill, using the german language. Thats not possible in other but english?
If I understood you right, it should communicate to HomeSeers Built-In technologies. HS3pro is running on a Win7-PC.
I just thought of a spoken command, point this via http to the device and give back an indivdual answer when command recognized.

Seems like the Alexa Skills Kit is available in German.

              Thanks for your replies,
I set up an amazon developer account today and clicked through the various tutorials. I still don't quite understand if this is working out the way I want it to.
I have now created a skill called "the house" and entered "light on" under "intend".
How can I turn on a lamp now? I also don't know what I have to specify as "Endpoint" under Settings.
How do I point to a specific Homeseer device and perform a particular action?

I have tried the tutorial of Jon's link and now I'm stuck at the end of step 4. After entering the code in "Sample Utterances" and pressing "Next" the error message "Error: There was an unknown failure building the intent schema." appears.
This happens no matter if the language is set to German or English UK.
Can you please check if you also get this error message?
